How fees work

Runtiler charges one fee, when you open a trade. There is no fee to deposit, no fee to withdraw, no fee to close a trade early, and no fee at settlement.

The fee is 6% of your contract price multiplied by what's left of the dollar — the full formula, not a summary of it:

fee = 6% × contracts × price × (1 − price)

For 100 contracts, at a few different prices:

• at 10¢ — stake $10.00, fee $0.54 (5.4% of your stake)
• at 40¢ — stake $40.00, fee $1.44 (3.6% of your stake)
• at 50¢ — stake $50.00, fee $1.50 (3.0% of your stake)
• at 90¢ — stake $90.00, fee $0.54 (0.6% of your stake)

The shape is deliberate. In dollars the fee is largest at 50¢, where the outcome is most uncertain, and falls away toward both ends. As a share of what you put up it runs the other way — highest on long shots, lowest on near-certainties. Both are true, and the ticket always shows the actual number.

Once, at the open. It moves on-chain in the same transfer as your stake, so there is no second charge later. Closing early and settling are both free.

If the trade never opens — the transfer doesn't confirm, or it can't be filled — you are not charged. Anything that did move is returned to your balance.

The fee is on the trade ticket before you confirm, next to your cost and your potential payout. Your maximum loss already includes it.
